Great Coffee
This coffee is infinitely better than the Douwe Egberts coffee that comes with the Senseo. I like my coffee black - no cream, sugar, or anything else, so I like to really taste my coffee and can spot bad coffee right away.

No bitterness, much smoother, and stronger than Douwe Egberts coffee. Also, each pod makes an 8 ounce cup versus 4 ounce per Douwe Egberts pod. The pods are individually wrapped, and you can smell the freshness when you tear open a pod packet; when I opened a Douwe Egberts packet - there was only a faint smell versus the strong, fresh smell from these packets.

I have even - accidently - made 2-8oz cups of coffee with ONE of these pods - and the second cup wasn't bad (a little weak, but not bad - some folks that prefer weaker coffee would have thought it was great).

I have tried four of BetterPods' varieties, Kona, French Roast, Columbian, and Sumatra Mandheling - with the French Roast being my favorite due to my preference for a darker roasted coffee - but all being equally great otherwise. I think I am going to throw away the Douwe Egberts pods that came with my Senseo, or find some other non-beverage use for them.

I have also made espresso using Ecopads and the Senseo's 1-cup mode with some Starbuck's Espresso Roast... not quite as strong as a true coffee house espresso, but very good nonetheless, and much easier to setup than my old home-brew espresso machine... Now if BetterPods would only come out with an espresso roast (hint-hint)!

Best So Far!
As with most SENSEO owners; you quickly look for other options as the coffee of D.E's is not great. This is the first Kona type I've tried and it's GREAT! I have it's competitor to try but for the money and occasional cup o' joe I am very satified with this brand.

That's GOOD coffee.
I tried most of this brand's flavors, and this is my favorite. OH! and decaf columbian is also my favorite. What can I say?? They were all good, just some better than others. Also these are good for one 8 oz cup, where other brands recomend one pod for a 4 oz cup.(so twice the cost). Thank's Ron

  1. As with most owners Senseo, quickly look for alternatives to coffee D. It is not great. Kona is the first type, I tried it and it’s great! Seeking competitor, but for the money and the occasional cup O Joe I am very satified with this trademark. Rating: 4 / 5

I tried most of the flavors of this brand and this is my favorite. OH! Colombian Decaf and is also my favorite. What can I say? They were all good, some better than others. Moreover, they are good for one 8 oz cup, where other brands to recommend a pod for one cup 4 oz (If you double the cost). Thanks Ron Rating: 4 / 5

In addition, each module includes a 8-ounce cup from 4 ounces per pod Douwe Egberts. The pods are individually wrapped and you can smell the freshness as you tear a pack of capsules, if I open a pack of Douwe Egberts – there was only a slight smell from the smell of fresh paquets.J ‘t also – incidentally – 8.2 grams in cups of coffee with one of these wafers – and the second cut was not bad (a little ‘weak, but not bad – people who prefer small coffee would have thought that was nice). BetterPods four varieties I tried, Kona, French Roast, Colombian and Sumatra Mandheling – French roast is my favorite for my preference for a dark roasted coffee – but all are great otherwise. I think throwing the pods Douwe Egberts that came with my Senseo, or find another use for beverage eux.J not ‘ve also expressed Ecopads mode and 1-cup of Senseo with some Starbucks Espresso Roast. . . not quite as strong as a true espresso, but still very good and much easier to install than my old espresso machine at home brewing. . . Now, if only for BetterPods roast Espresso (index)! Rating: 5 / 5
