This machine worked fine for the first week. After that however, it has been spotty at best. The frother does not work at all. It does not heat the milk properly and makes minimal froth. Even making a cup of espresso has become a crap-shoot. The pre-programmed amounts (single, double shots)give different amounts of water each time and more times than not, I've had to push the button several times to make one cup of espresso. The tray underneath fills with water constantly. I had a Krups machine for 10 years prior to buying this one. I want my old one back. This is garbage. Do not waste you money.
P.S. Its noisy and rattles. |

This machine is worthless. It did not work from the time I purchased it. Unfortunately, it was a birthday present and my husband was away for the summer. It remained untouched and unpacked for several months. Then he tried to get it to work and it does not, not even from day one. After that my husband had to travel to Florida for a period of time to care for his ailing father. I did not know until he returned from Florida that nothing could get this piece of junk to work.
Contacted seller and explained extenuating circumstances. Blunt comment in return, it's past your 90 days period, end of discussion. How completely rude! I'm thinking, the machine should be warranteed for 90 days IF IT IS IN WORKING CONDITION, which it wasn't. So I asked them if they thought I should leave it on the counter as a decoration or put it in the basement to collect dust. No response to either of these comments. So I'm stuck with a $200 piece of crap. I would never buy from this seller again and I would strongly advise any potential customers to think long and hard prior to buying from them. |
Coffee maker with a huge attitude!

The machine worked fantastically the first three weeks - excellent crema, aroma, etc. Then something happened and the water from the tank started going directly into the drawer below the machine, instead of through the right place. So, I have had to press the double espresso button 5 times to make a half-way full mug; and, ha, meanwhile I've had to make sure I keep pouring the drawer out every time, so that it doesn't overflow.
I am so disappointed. The machine made such a great coffee and I have been taking good care of it, so it's behavior is inexplicable to me. :(:(:( |

I read the previous reviews/problems encountered with this machine and I was able to make the perfect cup of expresso the first time and have had no problems with it. I find that doing a single cup (prime) of just plain water before I brew a real cup makes sure I get the full amount of water for brewing each time. I guess there is a bit of air in the lines between uses?
Perfect otherwise! No complaints here. |

With a durable stainless-steel boiler, two thermostats (for water and steam), 35-ounce water reservoir (which removes for easy filling and cleaning), and two nozzles, this self-priming pump machine brews up single or double shots of espresso in just minutes. As for taste, the machine’s ‘sempre crema’ filter holder produces a perfect, caramel-colored crema, the essence of great espresso. Before brewing, a built-in tamper levels and presses the grounds before use; some practice is usually required to tamp at just the right pressure. After brewing, a lever on the filter holder flips up to hold the metal basket in place in order to knock out the used grounds. Three switches make the entire brewing process intuitive: on/off, espresso/water delivery, and steam: the machine preheats cups and filter holder with hot water and also froths milk for cappuccino using a swivel steamer and adjustable steam control knob. An "OK" light illuminates when the machine is fully heated and ready to go. A drip tray under the nozzles holds two espresso shot glasses or cups (not included), and removes for dishwasher cleaning.
